During the Spring Semester of 2014, our Data and Databases class at SUNY Albany covered several NoSQL databases.
They included M / MUMPS as representative of Hierarchical Databases.
Below is the presentation used for introducing M / MUMPS.
This was done after having studied MongoDB as representative of Document Databases.
The class was based on hands-on exercises in a Linux server in the Amazon AWS cloud,
where GTM (fis-gtm) was installed as an Ubuntu Package.
Students were quick to assimilate the hierarchical nature of M / MUMPS.
