The first example to my knowledge of a routine converging IHS and VA practices...

I am doing installation of patches and then diffing them. I saw some very interesting lines in BMCA routine PSBRPC, patch 42. I "SS"[$P($G(PSBDATA),"^",3) D Q:RESULTS(1)<0 .S:$P(PSBDATA,"^")?1"0"9N.U PSBDATA=$E(PSBDATA,2,99) N PSBCNT .; IHS vs VA Agency check for Patient ID info .I $G(DUZ("AG"))'="I",$G(DUZ("AG"))'="V" S RESULTS(0)=1,RESULTS(1)="-1^Invalid Agency Code - Not IHS or VA" Q .I $G(DUZ("AG"))="I" D ..S X=-1 ..I $P(PSBDATA,U)?12N S X=$$HRCNF^APSPFUNC($P(PSBDATA,U)) ..S:X'>0 RESULTS(0)=1,RESULTS(1)="-1^Patient not found or # not 12 digit"

Fwd: [code-convergence] Uncategorized Routines and Globals in WorldVistA a la Packages.csv

My memories about these globals, for anyone who cares... OSEHRA Member Seeking to Immediately Hire Two VistA Software Developers

Colleagues,

A member of OSEHRA,who is CEO of an Health IT firm in the Washington, D.C. area, is seeking to make 2 immemdiate hires of VistA software developers (Mumps and delphi preferred).  He is also seeking to identify VistA database developers, testers and trainers, beyond the immediate 2 developer requirement, for potential future hires.

If you are interested in learning more about these opportunities, please contact me at the email in my signature block below.

Uncategorized Routines and Globals in WorldVistA a la Packages.csv

I want to say that I haven't really made mods to Packages.csv beyond adding new packages (exception: Kernel, but it still isn't totally working). For me, there are several interesting things to note. There are files in 158*. Where do these belong? I haven't spent the time to investigate yet. There there is 2006.032+JUKEBOX.zwr, which belongs to Imaging. And 8994* which are new here. Not sure if they are part of FOIA or not. In routines: A* in general is local. C0* need to be categorized. I already did C0C and C0Q. DBA* are unknown to me, but I could guess what they are. DEN? GPR?

Any problem in computer science can be solved with another layer of indirection. -D.Wheeler

Our team is happy to report that presentations, discussions, and collaborations at the VistA Expertise Network Symposium and Expo last week went really well. It was great to finally meet some of our supporters and followers in person! For a copy of our refactoring and test framework presentations, please navigate here.

VOLDEMORT - the first code

This coming Monday, the first code should post on OSEHRA's about-to-be-created VOLDEMORT ("longest acronym ever") GIT repository. The focus for the first pass is FileMan schema comparison, in particular how does a particular VistA's schema differ from that of a GOLD VistA. What is "GOLD"? For now, it's FOIA until the VA stamps a set of files and code as the VOLDEMORT GOLD master.

EHR Refactoring Services Webinars

The EHR Refactoring Services Webinars will now be held on request only. Our team will be more than happy to hold Q&A or code review sessions as requested during the usual Friday 3:00pm EDT time slot.

To request a presentation or webinar please contact Kathleen Keating (kkeating@raygroupintl.com) or Meredith Watkins (mwatkins@raygroupintl.com).

Thank you!

Certification Group Members, During yesterday's meeting we did another live demo where we initiated the Jira ticket for certification of the 08/24/2012 FOIA. We also added a few items based on the current status, reviewed the dashboard, visited the code repository, looked at a file of changes detected between this FOIA and the 12/2011 FOIA and reviewed the steps we need to complete to achieve certification. Links for the sites I visited are contained in: http://www.osehra.org/document/certification-working-group-meeting-notes-september-18-2012 - Wes -- Wesley D. Turner, Ph.D.
