TIU Test Data

On perusing the OSEHRA site I see references to development and testing tools, but do not see a specific reference to test data.

I am intersted in locating a Text Inegration Utility (TIU) file with a large (20000+) number of records. Is high volume test data available within OSEHRA project? If so I would appreciate being guided towards it. Failing that, if any of you know of an alternative source for a large volume of TIU data, that would be very helpful too.

Short and sweet Sprint 5 and 6 update

Despite the unexpected bump in the road in early May (see the May 11th blog post here), Sprint 5 certainly got us to a point where we were able to submit our refactored Problem List.

Our major objectives of Sprint 5 were to:

  • Wrap up testing from Sprint 4
  • Submit the refactored Problem List and all associated tests (M-unit and functional) for certification
  • Validate our updated XINDEX-based tool

Some of our major successes were:

Research Project Help Needed: Open-Source Universal Healthcare Exchange Language

I’m drafting a proposal for a SBIR research grant and I’m looking for knowledgeable people to add to my team. My proposal will have two major sub-projects:

1)      Collecting and documenting healthcare metadata and developing an Open-Source, Universal Healthcare Exchange Language.

2)      Prototyping a limited use-case prototype to exchange the EHR data from VistA in the Universal Healthcare Exchange Language format across a service running on NwHIN (possibly leveraging DirectProject.org efforts).

Structural challenges to Meaningful Use?

RPMS, vxVISTA, OpenVISTA and WorldVistA all rely on a stable core from FOIA VISTA for the versions they used to certify for Meaningful Use. As choices are made about structural changes, we need to acknowledge, confront and solve the challenges these may present to the non-VA community's ability to continue meeting Meaningful Use standards.

Re: [certification] Obtaining Testing Code

Bob, Thanks for letting us know. We hope that we can get better penetration of git, but it may turn out that we will need to explore additional mechanisms for delivering content. - Wes On Wed, Jun 6, 2012 at 7:55 PM, rbrown567 wrote: > Turns out our IT department has blocked the use of git on our network. Lean Startup "Business Models" in Government

Colleagues,

See excellent video from this year's South By Southwest (SXSW 2012) of Todd Park, U.S., Chief Technology Officer (CTO).

The video, from March 2012, illustrates Todd's passion for "data liberation", the unleashing of lean "business models" in government, and his excitement for health informatics.

As you may know, Todd is a founder of AthenaHealth, Castlight and Healthpoint.

Highly recommended!
