VHA Unfulfilled Requirements
On December 19, 2016, VHA issued a policy entitled Sharing VHA Software Requirements with the Open Source Community. Under this policy, VHA will share unfulfilled software requirements with the open source community as a means of stimulating discussion and collaboration. The OSEHRA website has been designated as the dissemination point for these requirements.
The OSEHRA staff will be working with VHA to get these requirements exported and create an intake process for our site. Our current plan is to structure them using the VA’s Business Function Framework (BFF). Since our ViViaN™ tool already has an interactive BFF display, the intent is to add the requirements to the appropriate end nodes, and also make them keyword searchable.
Because it is imperative that this data be freely available, all of the requirements will be accessible through ViViaN even if you have not logged onto our website. We will keep the community informed via this page and blog updates as our work progresses. To ensure that you are notified of our latest blog posts, we encourage you to join us as a member of OSEHRA. Associate Membership is free for all individuals. If you are not yet a member, please sign up here today. Thank you all for your patience as we work to make this information available as quickly as possible.
The information on the VHA Unfulfilled Requirements page is provided to the open source community by the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Veterans Health Administration (VHA) for information only. It is not a solicitation for any work effort or proposals.
