508 Developer Training - Spread the Word!

I am very pleased to let you know that the Open Source VistA developers have been invited to attend 508 developer training sessions being offered by the VA for VA developers. Then next one is August 16th, 2-3:30 PM Eastern time. 508 training is related to accessibility. All government software is supposed to be 508 compliant so if you develop applications that you would like to see used by the VA or DOD, this is not just the right thing for both inside and outside of the VA, but to do but it has to be done for government software. Please see the announcement below and use the VANTS line plus the external link for the session, it, not the http://vaww link but the one for outside of the firewall. We are attempting to get a backup plan in case the outside link does not work for you, which it probably won't for Linux users. Please keep in mind that we would like to be invited back so we should be circumspect about our participation in the call. ********************* Programming with Section 508 in Mind Join us for this New Course Offering on August 16th, 2012 at 2:00 PM ET Have you had difficulty making your applications accessible under Section 508?
