Uncategorized FOIA Globals

Christopher Edwards's picture

Thanks Dave!

I think DOPT is obvious that it needs to move to the FileMan package.  For DOSV (which is part of FileMan per your comment above) is the data important?  Will FileMan automatically recreate this global?  Looking at the data (link below) the data that is contained within it doesn't seem very useful (and the TNA* looks to be for VMS which would be useless any way - for those not on VMS)

As a general note:  Eventhough these globals contain other files if there isn't a namespace mapping for the global it will not be moved to it's package directory.  The files contained within the global will be moved.  Example:

VistALink files:
List ^XOB(:,0)
^XOB(18.01,0)="FOUNDATIONS SITE PARAMETERS^18.01P^1^1"
^XOB(18.03,0)="VISTALINK LISTENER CONFIGURATION^18.03I^1^1"
^XOB(18.04,0)="VISTALINK LISTENER STARTUP LOG^18.04PI^^"
^XOB(18.05,0)="VISTALINK MESSAGE TYPE^18.05^3^3"

> XOB.zwr

18.01 was moved to Foundations (XOBU)

18.03, 18.04, & 18.05 were moved to VistALink (XOBV)

This leaves an empty global root XOB leftover and since there is no namespace mapping for XOB in packages.csv it goes to uncategorized.

Another question:  for these empty global roots are they safe to delete?
