VistA js Work Group

The mission of the VistA js Work Group is to establish an Open Source community focused on enterprise architecture platforms and point-of-service data reconciliation, developing future-proof solutions that transform the raw digital data collected during provider-customer encounters into structured, usable data that materially enhances future interactions.  Established around the VistA js product delivered as Open Source under the Apache License Version 2.0, this work group will provide guidance for the enhancement and evolution not only of VistA js, but also of the concepts of data federation and data democratization embodied in the VistA js product.

Background:

Released under an Apache 2.0 license and used in the VA’s Medication Reconciliation and Allergy Review (MRAR), Get the Data Back (GTBD), and Joint legacy Viewer (JLV), the potential of this data federation capability is just starting to be realized.  Community contribution in the form of Open Source development as well as socializing emerging needs is what this Workgroup seeks to facilitate.  It is through broadening exposure to the community of these data federation concepts that application of VistA js and its concepts can be matched to and satisfy existing and emerging data interoperability needs.

Thanks for letting us know about the software download issue at VA.
