Title: Clinical Data Quality Issues and Achilles for Sharable and Interoperable Data Characterization

Description: Rich digital clinical data are the staples of modern learning health systems, but this goal can be compromised by poor data quality. The lack of this assurance would undermine the patient's confidence in data collectors or reduce the value of medical data for smart health research. In this webinar, Dr. Chunhua Weng will give an overview of the dimensions of data quality issues from a systematic data governance perspective. She will then introduce and demo the open science community, www.OHDSI.org, and a series of open source tools offered by it, including one for standards-based data quality assurance and reporting called Achilles.

Presenters:

Chunhua Weng, PhD, FACMI
Associate Professor of Biomedical Informatics
Columbia University, New York, NY

Nicole G. Weiskopf, PhD
Assistant ProfessorDepartment of Medical Informatics & Clinical Epidemiology
Oregon Health & Science University
