Call for Working Group Participants

OSEHRA’s popHealth® community needs your help! New contributors to the development effort within the OSEHRA popHealth Steering Work Group and Developer Open Source Project Group are greatly needed. Since 2014, OSEHRA has served as the steward and custodian of popHealth software. Initially developed by the Office of the National Coordinator within the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, the code was picked up and maintained by our community which has supported the evolution of the software suite, testing and committing new code and updates to meet the evolving needs of the greater user community.

Originally created to generate the analytics necessary for meaningful use certification, this open source electronic clinical quality measure (eCQM) database and reporting engine is now recognized as a principal tool for tracking care outcomes in various settings. It currently supports numerous healthcare providers and EHR vendors, including state Medicaid agencies. Thanks to the efforts of several dedicated members within our community, OSEHRA released Version 6.0 of popHealth this past June.

Unfortunately, we cannot continue this great work into 2020 without increased community participation. Additional contributions to this effort are critical in order to maintain popHealth and keep up with the annual requirement updates to the eCQM specifications for the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services quality reporting programs. If you use this vital tool, we hope you will consider actively participating. Please use the meeting information below to join the next Steering Work Group Virtual Meeting scheduled for Tuesday, November 5 at 2:00 PM ET.

At this point there are no meetings planned.

Once members commit resources to open source development of popHealth v6.1, we will restart the meeting.
