OSEHRA is pleased to announce the formation of a new Open Source Project Group focused on the generation of synthetic patient data. This project group will work to develop an open source toolset for creating clinically valid synthetic data and import it into VistA and RPMS for testing. Existing products and services such as Synthea and MiHIN will be surveyed, and will serve as the launch points for this project. The community will collaborate on requirements and specification to augment patient generation algorithms and address needs specific to VistA and RPMS.
We invite the entire community to join us in this exciting open source initiative. The first Synthetic Patient Data group call has been scheduled for Thursday, November 16, 2017 at 2:00 PM Eastern Time. To join the call, please click here. Meetings will continue bi-weekly in this time slot. Anyone wishing to participate should join the call and register for the Synthetic Patient Data Project Group on the OSEHRA website.
