This week, OSEHRA hosted an interactive Innovation Webinar entitled The HHS/IHS Health Information Technology Modernization Analysis Project – Technical Assessment of RPMS. Led by Dr. Theresa Cullen, Regenstrief Institute, and Dr. Howard Hays, Hays Health Informatics Consulting, LLC., this webinar gave an overview of the HHS Office of the Chief Technology Officer’s (OCTO) one-year project to study IHS’ options for modernizing its health information technology (HIT) solutions.
OSEHRA is seeking volunteers to serve on this year’s Leadership Awards Committee. Since 2014, OSEHRA has recognized individuals for their outstanding contributions and achievements within the Open Source Health IT Community. This year’s Committee is Co-Chaired by Mr. Guy Esten of Apex Data Solutions, and Dr. Jack Taylor of BITS/Cognosante. Numerous nominations are expected this year and volunteers are needed to help select the best candidates for recognition.

This is the first major release since v3.0 was transitioned to the OSEHRA popHealth community in 2014. The v4.0 release is a significant update to the original reference implementation that provides for basic Meaningful Use (MU) quality measure reporting.
