We will use the new peer review checklist to walk through peer review for FileMan 22.2 in the OTJ. Peer review checklist is at:
Update: We had a very successful consensus review of Fileman 22.2 during yesterday's meeting. Based on the meeting, we have the following two actions that need to be investigated, after which we will submit a recommendation via the peer review:
- OSEHRA will run the code dependency checker on Fileman 22.2 to generate a cross reference baseline and attach it to the article
- There are some tests that fail on selected platforms. Based on our investigations, they appear to be test harness artifacts and do not reflect issues with the code. The tests execute correctly when run from the command line. We will attach our log output documenting the errors, but will not let them prevent the successful peer review
Our goal is to close these issues quickly; to formally submit our peer review shortly thereafter; and then to make a recommendation for OSEHRA final review and certification, possibly as early as Friday, February 8, 2013.
What can you do?
Many sets of eyes make for good reviews and few bugs. If you would like to look at the code and perform your own review (either formal, or thumbs up/thumbs down), you can perform it from the OTJ article at http://hdl.handle.net/10909/57. If you do a formal review though, please fill out the peer review checklist called out above and attach it as a txt file to the review checklist on the site. We are developing new procedures and we think these are more useful and understandable than the previous set.
