CPRS Functional Testing

Robert Brown's picture

OK, I downloaded the functionaltestingguis.zip file, extracted the files and ran VITL5_P26.exe.  It created 2 shortcuts on my desktop, one to Vitals Manager and one to Vitals.  There was no CPRS shortcut created.  When I tried adding the port, server, ccow disable arguments to the Target property of the Vitals Manager shortcut ("/port=9210/server=127.0.0.1/ccow=disable"), I got an error from Windows saying that the target specified an invalid path.

CPRS Functional Testing

Christopher Edwards's picture

Robert:

the port server and ccow need to be added to the end of the target box.  it should be someting like:  "C:\Program files\VistA\{name}.exe port=9210 server=127.0.0.1 ccow=disable"  slashes are not needed for port, server, ccow, etc.

I believe you manually have to create a shortcut for CPRS as it doesn't have an installer.

Connecting CPRS to local instance of Vista

Venkata Reddy's picture

Hi,

I installed Cache and Vista following the directions in this article. I also installed the CPRS application from the VA site and by default it connects to the demo server deployed at VA site. Since I want this CPRS app to connect to vista instance deployed on my machine, I changed the CPRS Demo app shortcut target settings S=127.0.0.1 and Port = 9210. And then launching the CPRS app getting the 'WSAECONNREFUSED' error which I think is the connection refused by the Vista. Is there any other configuration I need to do to allow the CPRS connectivity?

I am new to VISTA and setting up first time.

Thanks,

Venkat

TaskMan? RPC Broker? Are they running?

Christopher Edwards's picture

Do you remember starting TaskMan?

To check:

At the Programmer Prompt:

VISTA>D ^%SS

You should see %ZTMS1 in the listing

If you don't see %ZTMS1 in the listing:

VISTA>D ^ZTMB

After a minute or two type the D ^%SS command again and taskman should be running (%ZTMS1 in the listing)

Next see if the RPC broker is running:

in the ^%SS listing look for %ZISTCPS.  in the device column you should see |TCP|9210 (port the Broker is listening on), if not type "D STRT^XWBTCPS(9210) to start the broker.

If you still get WSAECONNREFUSED after these steps look for a firewall blocking the port.

Another datapoint I want to

Venkata Reddy's picture

Another datapoint I want to add is, I did check the TaskMan configuration using this VISTA>D ^ZTMCHK command and everything looks correct when compared to other install screen shots. But starting the TaskMan is not starting it.

System Setup Script

Christopher Edwards's picture

Ok, It doesn't seem like the system setup script ran, in your build directory you should see PostImportSetupScript.py to run it type "python PostImportSetupScript.py".  This should setup the appropriate Box:Volume pair for TaskMan to start and start the RPC broker, etc.

As a side note to start the RPC broker is D STRT^XWBTCP(9210) - No "S" in XWBTCP - which is my fault.

CPRS Login error

Venkata Reddy's picture

Thank you Christopher,

I am able to get the TaskMan, and RPC Broker started. I have come across another problem from CPRS. When I enter the Access code and Verify code, CPRS is giving an error saying "Not a valid ACCESS CODE/VERIFY CODE pair.", but using the Cache terminal with same access code and verify code I am able to login to the system.

I did setup the OR CPRS GUI CHART and other needed attributes to allow the user to use CPRS following the instructions at: http://www.hardhats.org/projects/VistA_Install/Vista_Install.html and step  84.

Is there any documentation on what all settings should be set to allow user for CPRS Tool? Using the RPCTest client tool also getting the same error during login.

Thank you,

Venkat

What's in the error trap?

Christopher Edwards's picture

Venkat:

What is in the error trap?  at a programmer prompt (VISTA>) type D ^XTER and at "Which Error?" select the latest one (date/timestamp) and at "Which Symbol?" type ^L

I am thinking something else may not be setup correctly and may have an error entry that I can use.

Thanks
